Mavericks go down to the nicks

It proved unlucky 13 for the Dallas Mavericks as their long winning streak ended in a 128-94 defeat to the New York Knicks.
Bill Walker's career-high 23 points and 22 more from Wilson Chandler did much of the damage.
Luis Scola exploded for a career-high 44 points and 12 rebounds as the Houston Rockets beat the woeful New Jersey Nets 116-108.
Scola took advantage of dreadful defence from the Nets to make 20 of his 25 shots in a win that keeps the Rockets' slim playoff hopes alive.
The Golden State Warriors dealt another big blow to the playoff hopes of the Toronto Raptors as Stephen Curry scored 35 points and added 10 assists in a 124-112 victory.
The Raptors have now lost four straight as they cling to the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.
The Atlanta Hawks watched a 28-point lead whittled down to single figures but still held off the Detroit Pistons to win 112-99.
Joe Johnson had 26 points on a night when the Hawks shot a season high 63%.
The San Antonio Spurs did what they always do against the Los Angeles Clippers - win - with George Hill collecting 14 points and a career-high 11 assists in a 118-88 victory.
It was the Spurs' 16th straight victory over the Clippers.
The Denver Nuggets racked up their sixth straight victory as they beat the Memphis Grizzlies 125-108.
JR Smith scored 19 of his 30 points in the second half, while Carmelo Anthony had 24 points and Chauncey Billups 22.
Dwight Howard had 28 points and 15 rebounds as the Orlando Magic made it eight wins out of eight, beating the Washington Wizards 109-95.
